Madison County Schools will be holding a district-wide career fair on Thursday, February 26, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ridgeland High School.

The Madison County Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Austin Brown as the next Superintendent of Madison County Schools, effective July 1, 2026.

Madison County Schools has made an enhancement to its current safety plan that will require attendees to use clear bags inside the venues of all MHSAA-sanctioned events (including tailgating).

Madison County Schools has again achieved an A-rating for 2025, marking the twelfth consecutive A grade for the district! MCS also celebrates earning the highest score in Mississippi among large school districts on state testing.

Hello Falcon Family! My name is Felicia Burton, and I am truly excited about the opportunity to build on the success and momentum that has been built at Shirley D. Simmons Middle School. I look forward to serving the students, working with the staff, and taking Shirley Simmons to even greater heights. I am thrilled about the possibilities and continuing the excellent progress that Shirley Simmons Middle School is known for .
